An Aberdeen-based ex-Serviceman has launched a new international security firm to provide high-level security services and training to companies and high net worth individuals.
Phil Haase has set up Haase Associates to offer a highly personalised security service drawing on his global network of independent security specialists.
"Personal security has always been a concern for businesses and high-profile diplomats, but now it's an issue which also has to be positively addressed by many businesses who plan to send their people into potentially dangerous environments," says Phil.
"Hardly surprisingly, few companies possess the in-house skills to carry out thorough local threat assessments and train their people in basic disciplines to lower their visibility and reduce their vulnerability."
Haase Associates offer a mix of three different security services - security consultancy, including detailed threat and risk analysis, security training, including kidnap and ransom, and hands-on close protection services (the traditional "bodyguard").
Drawing on his extensive military and commercial security experience, Phil believes extensive planning and using only hand-picked expert security personnel are the two keys to maintaining effective personal safety.
